College Football Week 15 Picks:

UAB (4-3) at Rice (2-2). 1:00 p.m. ET
Moneyline: UAB -275, Rice +215
Spread: UAB -7
Over/Under: 43.5 points

You ask, why are you betting on a game in Conference USA? And I ask, why not? The Blazers haven’t taken the field since a 37-34 overtime loss to Louisiana Tech on Halloween. Rice, meanwhile, is back at home after an impressive shutout win on the road at Marshall. The Owls are 5-2 against the number in their last seven and are getting more than a touchdown against a team that hasn’t played in well over a month. Gimme the Owls. The Pick: Rice +7.5.

#20 North Carolina (7-3) at #9 Miami (8-1). 3:30 p.m. ET
Moneyline: Miami -175, North Carolina +140
Spread: Miami -3
Over/Under: 69.5 points

This is just a shot in the dark, but if you love college football, you might just enjoy North Carolina and Miami instead of the “Snoozefest” that waits in Lawrence. The Heels and Canes have two of the better quarterbacks in the country in Sam Howell and D’Eriq King, and each can score points in a hurry. This game might as well be a coin flip, so I’ll grab the points with the Heels and an offense that averages 41.1 points a contest. The pick: North Carolina +3.

Stanford (2-2) at Oregon State (2-3). 10:30 p.m. ET
Moneyline: Stanford -141, Oregon State +116
Spread: Stanford -3
Over/Under: 52.5 points

We have to slip in some Pac-12 After Dark, don’t we? No, the Cardinal and the Beavers don’t present the sexiest matchup, but I think we’re giving Stanford too much credit here. Oregon State will once again be without starting quarterback Tristan Gebbia, but running back Jermar Jefferson has been cleared to play, and he should be the difference-maker in this one. Stanford is 1-7-1 against the spread in its last nine road games. The Pick: Oregon State +3.0.
