Longtime sports broadcaster and gambling expert Michael Jenkins is here to give you his favorite picks, including Saturday’s Big Ten showdown in Columbus between the Hoosiers and Buckeyes.

But before we get to the picks, it’s time for another episode of “Weekend Jenks”, and Michael Jenkins would like to talk to you about Iowa State vs. Kansas State, more affectionately known as FARMAGEDDON!

College Football Week 12 Picks:

Iowa (2-2) at Penn State (0-4). 3:30 p.m. ET
Moneyline: Iowa -137, Penn State +112
Spread: Penn State +2.5
Over/Under: 47.5 points

I’m not sure how much Penn State Head Coach James Franklin has slept during the past month, but my guess is that Happy Valley hasn’t been nearly has cheerful as the name suggests. Incredibly, the Nittany Lions are 0-4, and they welcome an Iowa team fresh off blasting Minnesota in a 35-7 rout. The Total seems to be a bit inflated here based on what we saw against the Golden Gophers, and the Hawkeyes will want to continue keeping their offense on the ground. The Under has hit in nine of Iowa’s last 13 games, and Penn State can’t do much of anything right now. The Pick: Under 47.5.

Kansas State (4-3) at #17 Iowa State (5-2). 4:00 p.m. ET
Moneyline: Kansas State +340, Iowa State -455
Spread: Iowa State -10.5
Over/Under: 46.5 points

It’s easy to find reasons to bet against Kansas State in “Farmaggedon.” Yes, that’s what this rivalry game is called. They’re on the road, Iowa State is squarely in the hunt for the Big 12 title, and the Wildcats are down to backup quarterback Will Howard. However, as we saw in a 20-18 loss to Oklahoma State two weeks ago, K-State usually puts up a fight. While Cyclones quarterback Brock Purdy is talented, he can be forced into mistakes and threw three interceptions against Baylor back on November 7th. The Wildcats are 7-1 ATS in their last eight conference games, and this is too many points. The pick: Kansas State +10.5.

Arizona (0-1) at Washington (1-0). 8:00 p.m. ET
Moneyline: Arizona +340, Washington -455
Spread: Washington -11.5
Over/Under: 53.5 points

Poor Arizona has now lost eight straight games going back to last year, and the Cats suffered a crushing loss to USC last week when the Trojans scored with 25 seconds remaining to hand the Wildcats a 34-30 defeat. Arizona gave up 500 yards to the Trojans, but Washington is not USC. The Huskies don’t have nearly the same explosive ability, nor someone like Kedon Slovis at quarterback. Freshman Dylan Morris mans the controls for the Huskies, and he should be a welcome relief for an Arizona defense that should improve enough to cover under new coordinator Paul Rhoads. The pick: Arizona +11.5.
