College Basketball Odds: Tuesday, January 26 CBB Lines & Betting Preview
The January 26 CBB lines are live on BetRivers.com, and Tuesday night provides a small but action-packed slate of college basketball games to wager on.
First up is a ranked matchup between #24 Oklahoma — a team that just dispatched Kansas with relative ease over the weekend — against #5 Texas, a legitimate National Championship contender. Also on the docket is #8 Alabama, unbeaten in SEC play facing a Kentucky team still trying to find its identity, among other things. Also in the SEC is #12 Missouri as road underdogs at Auburn.
College Basketball online sports betting activities are never boring. Bet on your favourite team and earn real money with BetRivers.
In the midwest, Dayton faces #22 Saint Louis, a team that has not played since before Christmas, and undefeated Drake takes on its stiffest competition yet when the Bulldogs face Missouri State.
Rob Dauster, a longtime national college basketball writer, and co-founder of the Field of 68 Podcast Network breaks down the January 26 CBB lines, and has some opinions on where to put your money on Tuesday night.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL ODDS: JANUARY 26 CBB LINES

MONEYLINE: Texas -200, Oklahoma +165
SPREAD: Texas -4.5

This is the perfect sell-high spot on Oklahoma, who is now ranked in the top 25 after beating a thoroughly regular Kansas team over the weekend. Now they head on the road to take on one of college basketball’s top 6-8 teams in Texas.
I’m not sold on the Sooners. I am, however, sold on the Longhorns, even if Shaka Smart isn’t on the sidelines coaching. Texas has the defensive weaponry to be able to slow down Oklahoma’s spread attack. I don’t see Austin Reaves being able to get things going against the backcourt defensive presences of Matt Coleman and Courtney Ramey, and Texas has more than enough athletic frontcourt players to be able to run with Brady Manek.
So I love Texas in this spot. To be honest, I think that I will likely wait before getting my bet in, because I think there is a real scenario where this line continues to drop as more people realize Shaka won’t be on the sidelines.
Kentucky (5-9, 4-3) at #9 Alabama (13-3, 8-0), 7 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Alabama -315, Kentucky +250
SPREAD: Alabama -7
OVER/UNDER: 148 point

This line continues to come down. At the time that I started looking at numbers this morning. It was at Alabama (-8.5). At the time that I am sending this in to my editor, the line is Alabama (-7).
And this is great news is you are an Alabama backer like I am.
Look, I know that Kentucky has turned a corner here. I think that they are much closer to being a 9-5 team than people realize. Their 5-9 mark is deceiving. They have not been as bad as their record is. Throw in the fact that BJ Boston is starting to wake up and that Keion Brooks is starting to play the most important minutes, and I would not be shocked to see Kentucky start winning some games against good teams.
That said, I will not be backing them in this spot. Alabama is the best team in the SEC, and the one part of this game where Kentucky will have a very real advantage — on the offensive glass — is the one aspect of the game where Alabama will kill you. When you attack the offensive boards, you leave yourself open to transition. That’s deadly against the Crimson Tide.
Georgia Tech (7-4, 3-2) at Duke (5-5, 3-3), 9 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Duke -265, Georgia Tech +215
SPREAD: Duke -6
OVER/UNDER: 140 points

One of the most profitable things you can do in college basketball right now is to fade Duke, and that’s exactly what I suggest doing tonight. Duke has lost three straight games, albeit all three on the road against teams better than Georgia Tech. But, do you trust Duke, like, at all? I don’t.
#12 Missouri (10-2, 4-2) at Auburn (9-7, 3-5), 9 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Auburn -143, Missouri +120
SPREAD: Auburn -2.5
OVER/UNDER: 149 points

Also one of the most profitable things to do in college basketball right now is to bet on Sharife Cooper. The freshman guard is averaging 21.2 ppg and 9.1 apg.
Drake (13-0, 4-0) at Missouri State (9-1, 5-1), 8 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Drake -167, Missouri State +140
SPREAD: Drake -3.5
OVER/UNDER: 145.5

Yet another wildly profitable thing to do in college basketball this season: Fade teams coming off a program pause. Drake hasn’t played in two weeks, and while they are undefeated right now, playing at Missouri State will be the toughest game they’ve played this season.
Dayton (8-4, 4-3) at #22 Saint Louis (7-1, 0-0), 8:30 p.m.
MONEYLINE: Saint Louis -455, Dayton +350
SPREAD: Dayton -9
OVER/UNDER: 135 points

Did you just read what I said about Drake? Well, Saint Louis hasn’t played since before Christmas. The Billikens are a really strong team, but our last data point was more than a month ago.
