3M Open Odds

The PGA Tour heads to Minnesota this weekend for the 3M Open, one of just two PGA Tour events that did not get rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the field for the 3M Open won’t be as star-studded as last weekend’s Memorial Tournament, bettors will be able to find a lot of value in surging players this weekend at TBC Twin Cities. BetRivers.com is proud to provide a wide variety of 3M Open odds, futures markets, sixshooters, and live betting for the final PGA Tour event of July.

3M Open Odds: Betting Preview

Dustin Johnson (+1100 to win) had a dreadful showing at the Memorial Tournament last week, failing to make the cut with +16 after the first two rounds. But Johnson excels at bouncing back, having finished in the top 20 in each of his past five events following a missed cut. With some of the big hitters not in action this week, expect big things out of — and big bets on — Johnson. D.J. enters the tournament receiving 58 percent of the bets in the Early Sixshooter A group and Round 1 leader. But Johnson isn’t the most popular bet to win the tournament. That belongs to this man …

It’s that time of year when everyone’s favorite young Englishman Tommy Fleetwood (+1600) makes his return to the PGA Tour, having been out of action for the past three months due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. A five-time winner on the European tour, Fleetwood ranks in the top 20 in strokes gained off the tee and is exceptionally tidy on the green from within four feet. Fleetwood enters the 3M Open receiving 15 percent of the tournament winning bets, with Johnson holding 12 percent.

Tony Finau (+1200) led the Memorial Tournament after Round 1, but couldn’t keep up with Jon Rahm down the stretch. Finau struggled a bit when the PGA Tour returned from quarantine, cracking a top 20 just once up until last weekend. But the 30-year-old has four top 10 finishes this season and is strong around the green. He too should benefit from a weaker field. Finau ranks third on the PGA Tour in putts per Round 3. If he can grab hold of the early lead, he might be able to shut the door. Finau is the third most popular pick in outright winners and total weekend bets.

The field sets up nicely for a darkhorse to win the event. Henrik Norlander (+5000) finished T6 last weekend, and has steadily improved each event since failing to make the cut at his first-quarantine event. For Norlander to win, he will need to play clean golf in the later rounds. He has not broken 70 in each of his last two Saturday and Sunday rounds.
