You can find the breakdowns for the individual games here, so before we dive into the Play-In Tournament futures here, go and give that a read.

Truth be told, in the Western Conference, I’m struggling to see anywhere that we can drum up some value in the futures markets. The Lakers are not losing two games in a row. I’d be surprised if they lost their first game against the Warriors.

And I also don’t think that either the Spurs or the Grizzlies will be able to beat the loser of the 7-8 game. Like I said, the Lakers are not losing two in a row, and in a one-game setting, a win-or-don’t-make-the-playoffs game, Steph Curry is not going to go quietly into the night. He’s going to go nuts, like he did on Sunday, when he put 46 on Memphis in what amounted to a one-game playoff to be the No. 8-seed.

Things are a little bit more interesting in the Eastern Conference.

I think there is a very real chance that the Celtics are going to fold. I’m all in on the Wizards winning in Boston on Tuesday night. They’ve been the hottest team in the NBA for the last month, while Boston has lost Jaylen Brown and dropped all the way down to the No. 7-seed. Hell, they even lost to the Thunder, who pulled off one of the most epic tank jobs in the history of American sports this year.

So I think there is real value on Boston (+400) to miss out on the Playoffs. If you think they lose two in a row in this spot more than 20% of the time, then your bet is +EV. I also think there is value on the Hornets (+450) and the Pacers (+320) to get into the Playoffs, but I don’t have a great feel on who wins the 9-10 game, which is why I like Boston’s line more.
