Longtime broadcaster and gambling expert David Tuchman is here every week to preview the NFL Week 15 odds and break down the picks he is thinking about.
A bit of luck got us off to a good start in Week 15. We needed overtime, but Thursday night gave us a 2-0 start to our week.
This Sunday, expect a dog day afternoon. There’s a bevy of big spreads and I find myself on the dogs side of it more often than not.
NFL WEEK 15 ODDS: TUCK’S TAKE
EAGLES (4-8-1) at CARDINALS (7-6), 4 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Cardinals -275, Eagles +230
SPREAD: Cardinals -6
OVER/UNDER: 49.5 points

Let’s start off in Arizona where Jalen Hurts makes his 2nd career start. Last week, Hurts led the Eagles to an upset win and Philadelphia has reason to be excited, but there’s plenty of room for growth. Hurts was mediocre to bad throwing the ball, but there’s no doubting that the Eagle’s offense was better with him under center. Hurts legs (over 100 yards rushing) will pick up key 3rd downs and help the Eagles offense stay on the field.
On the other side of the field, Arizona is an exciting team and the market has supported them all season, yet after starting the season on fire (against the spread), they are 2-4 against the spread over their last six games.
Hurts legs keep this one close. Take the Eagles +6.5.
PATRIOTS (6-7) at DOLPHINS (8-5), 1 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Dolphins -124, Patriots +107
SPREAD: Dolphins -1.5
OVER/UNDER: 41 points

Another game where a Bill Belichick disciple takes on the master. This time, it’s Brian Flores who is getting a second shot at his former boss. They lost week one 21-11, but don’t think for a second, that game is indicative of what we’ll see this Sunday.
Belichick owns rookie QBs. Justin Herbert had his worst game of the year two weeks ago vs New England. I expect Tua to struggle, and couple that with key pieces of Miami’s offense on the sideline, this could be a tough game for the Dolphin’s offense.
All of this, and you’d think I’d be on New England, but I’m betting on Miami’s defense in this one. Cam Newton and the Patriots’ offense has been awful. The Dolphins made Patrick Mahomes look mortal at times last week.
This line has moved down as money has poured in on New England. I’m going to fade the public and bet on Miami -1.
TEXANS (4-9) at COLTS (9-4), 1 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Colts -360, Texans +295
SPREAD: Colts -7.5
OVER/UNDER: 51.5 points

This almost feels like a trap game to me. Why is Houston getting THIS many points??? DeShaun Watson is still playing QB for the Texans, no?
Truth be told, Indianapolis is rounding into form and I do think they win this one, but 7.5 points is too much.
After getting embarrassed last week, DeShaun Watson and company keep this game competitive. Take Houston +7.5.
JAGUARS (1-12) at RAVENS (8-5), 1 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Ravens -910, Jaguars +630
SPREAD: Ravens -13
OVER/UNDER: 48 points

This is like some predictable movie. Bad team plays tough week in and week out until they get overrated and get blown out by a really good underrated team.
After betting on the Jaguars each week, we finally bet against them last week. Well, this week we’re back on the Jags bandwagon.
Everyone watched Lamar Jackson, aka Superman, come out of the bathroom, errr, locker room and win the game for the Ravens. It was electric. It was astounding. The Ravens are back!
No, they’re not. This is still an incredibly flawed team that essentially refused to throw the ball the entire game last week. Take the Jaguars +13.
BROWNS (9-4) at GIANTS (5-8), 8 p.m. ET
MONEYLINE: Browns -305, Giants +255
SPREAD: Browns -6.4
OVER/UNDER: 44.5 points

I’ll be waiting on this one.
Cleveland has some of the pieces in place to contend for the Super Bowl. “Some” being the operative word. They (and Baker Mayfield) just aren’t consistent enough.
The NY Giants are surprisingly competitive. Their pass defense is far better than people seem to think. I expect Mayfield to struggle and if Daniel Jones plays, I think this game is uncomfortably close for Cleveland fans. I’m betting on the NY Giants if Daniel Jones plays. The pick: NY Giants +6.5.
Tucks Take for NFL Week 15 Odds:
- Philadelphia Eagles +6.5
- Miami Dolphins -1
- Houston Texans +7.5
- Jacksonville Jaguars +13
- NY Giants +6.5
