Collin Morikawa’s dominant performance at the Workday Charity Open this weekend won an Illinois bettor over $1 million on a handful of weekend bets on BetRivers.com.
Morikawa was +5000 to hold the lead after Round 1 on BetRivers.com, and a $4,000 bet won the bettor $204,000 after just Thursday thanks to Morikawa’s first-round 65 (-7).
Morikawa followed his Thursday round with a 66 (-6) on Friday, a 72 (E) on Saturday, and a 66 (-6) on Sunday, outlasting Justin Thomas in a playoff to win the event, his first PGA Tour victory of the year.
The bettor placed a handful of bets on the event, with three Morikawa-specific bets winning him over $700,000 alone.
